One of the best thing to consider is to be prepared with the right clothing as well as accessories. An extra scarf or coat is a plus, especially when a lady would want to borrow some for her to fight against the cold.

Socks and Hat 

According to science, heat escapes on the head and the feet part of the body. Wool socks as well as lined hat are the garments you need to have in order to retain the heat in the body. You want these pieces of clothing to survive in the long run and provide you with the right amount of warmth in a long time. Thus, wool socks is a good thing to wear in order to retain the heat of the toes and pair it with a good hat.  

The Undergarments 

Even when you need to wear the right clothing, you don’t have to neglect and forget what’s underneath. That is, you also need to consider what to wear in your undergarments so that it will retain the heat in your body. The trick is you need to add layers of undergarments to keep yourself warmed and feeling fresh, even during the winter.  

The Suit 

Because most suits are seasonal, you need to find those that are perfect for the winter. These suits you are going to wear during the cold days of the year are those that are necessarily warmer. Tweed, wool, cashmere and other related materials should be the compositions of the fabric of the suit you are going to wear. Just because it’s cold doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to compromise your style thus, make sure you the coat you choose fits you well.  

Vitamin D 

It might be very cold outside, but that doesn’t mean you have to take away a healthy dose of Vitamin C out from your table. Even when under the thick garments of clothing, you need to go out regularly in order to be exposed to the sunlight- the greatest source for the vitamin D.  


Because winter is a time where you need to stay indoors at all times, you need to have a source for entertainment while being stuck inside the corners of your home. While your laptops and mobile phones are of great help, play something that will take that sweat out of you such as Xbox Kinect and the like in order to fight away the cold. Aside from continuously moving around the house, a good source of warmth such as a bonfire is also a good help to make you feel warmth and comfortable even during the coldest part of the winter.
